Perfection-Free Community Singing aka Paperless Singing
is the fastest way for friends and strangers, experienced musicians and uncertain singers, to make a beautiful sound together.
Timothy has been a song carrier and instigator for 20 years. Timothy created his first weekly Perfection-Free Singing Circle in Los Angeles in 2018. Tim moved back to Minnesota in 2019... since that time we have been meeting and singing weekly.
Perfection-Free Singing is not a religious event though a buddhist song, a Hindu song, a Christian song, a shanty song... might be sung.
Our only goal is to pay attention to each other and to be together in self-created beauty, joy, grief and sound.
THIS IS LIFE.
Our Perf-Free Community has become something special... deep stirring, laughter, pregnant silence (right after a song ends) and togetherness. Many say it fills a void left by no longer attending a formal spiritual community.
"Paperless" means we listen and learn BY EAR. We do not look at words or music (very often).
EVERYONE can do it.
And of course, half of singing is listening so if you'd like to just come listen, that is fine too.
